Gifts of Stocks & Securities
A gift of appreciated stock or securities will go a long way to help the Chabad at Elon, as well as provide you with a significant income tax deduction for the full market value of the stock.
The following instructions will help you facilitate a gift of stock or securities. (Note: To receive the full tax benefit, stocks must be transferred to Chabad at Elon before they are sold):
Notification of Donor Intent
For the purposes of proper acknowledgment and auditing, either the transferring broker or you must provide the following information:
- Your name and complete address
- The number of shares and name of stock or securities transferred
Donate a Car
Donate your used car or truck to Chabad, and we'll arrange to have it picked up free of charge. We accept most vehicles. It's easy and convenient, and you'll be eligible for a tax deduction as well!
It's much easier to donate your used car than it is to sell it yourself. And the tax savings might even be more than what you would receive from a trade in.
Donate Real Estate
Donating real estate to Chabad is a meaningful way to make a lasting impact. Whether it's a home, commercial property, or land, your gift can help fund vital programs, community services, and Jewish education for generations to come.
